Come join me outside rain or shine for Counselling outdoors in Nature. The following are just some of the MANY benefits to Walk and Talk Therapy: • If you are intimidated by traditional office settings , the constant movement and lack of eye contact can be a more comfortable context for easing into conversation and counselling • It allows you to experience a different physical and emotional space which can be empowering and show that you have choice. • Moving facilitates the release of emotions through movement and decreases worry, overwhelm as well as physical and mental stress and is very freeing • Actively moving while discussing feelings can help unpack bodily sensations of repressed memories increasing mind/body awareness. It can also help to get thoughts "unstuck" • It increases confidence especially in sharing feelings and fosters and cultivates connection • Seeing green space improves mood, reduces stress, decreases anxiety and enhances creativity • it is an excellent place to practice mindfulness, breathing and grounding. Exploring and create awareness and learn new ways of thinking and dealing with challenges in your life. Develop healthier and more effective coping strategies through an increased understanding of yourself. Communicate and connect better with others develop more meaningful relationships with loved ones, friends and family. This process is about healing, regaining hope and moving forwards. My goal as your counsellor is to foster a deeper sense of self-understanding as well as encourage and empower you to find your strengths in order to reach your goals and make the changes that you’d like to make. Rescheduling and Appointment Changes A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for appointment changes. You will be charged for any missed appointments or sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.
